MIKONA: A Journey of Growth and Resilience

Over more than three decades, MIKONA has become synonymous with quality, reliability, and market leadership. From a small company in Lúky pod Makytou, we have grown into the largest network of retail stores and tire services in Slovakia, holding approximately 20% of the market share.

Our journey is a story of determination and innovation. We overcame challenges, including a warehouse fire that strengthened our resolve to work even harder. Partnerships with renowned brands such as BARUM, CONTINENTAL, and MITAS catapulted us to the top of the Slovak market. In 1995, we opened a new chapter of growth by establishing BARUM Continental Slovakia.

Courage has also been a part of our sports identity. Through MIKONA RALLY Bratislava, we claimed four Slovak championship titles, demonstrating that success is the result of hard work and team spirit.

We expanded into the automotive market with brands such as SUBARU, OPEL, and SUZUKI, crossing Slovak borders with our activities. Since 2009, we have taken steps towards sustainability and renewable energy through our MIKONA ENERGETIKA division.

Our leadership position was confirmed by the Slovak Business Superbrands Award in 2016, underscoring our reputation for quality. In recent years, we have focused on further expansion, including building a logistics park in Bratislava and acquiring part of the BestDrive franchise network from Continental.

Today, MIKONA is a strong brand that combines tradition with innovation. Our mission is to continuously deliver quality, professionalism, and reliable services to our customers and partners.
