MIKON was founded in the spring of 1992, with its first headquarters in the small village of Lúky pod Makytou. The company’s original focus was on the production of technical rubber products. In the autumn of the same year, the trading company MIKONA was established, specializing in the wholesale of tires.

Relocation of the company from Lúky pod Makytou to the village of Pruské
The year 1997 marked a significant milestone for MIKONA as we relocated to new, much more spacious premises in the village of Pruské near Púchov. Our expansion required larger warehouse facilities, which was a decisive factor for the move. During this period, we also experienced significant development in logistics and marketing. A new logo was created, along with the distinctive combination of yellow and blue colours, clearly representing our MIKONA brand with the slogan “tire sales and service.”

MIKONA Rally Bratislava - marketing promotion of the brand
The year 2000 was a groundbreaking year for us in terms of significant business and marketing activities. It marked our first step towards expanding collaborations with business partners. However, our most notable achievement was organizing the 1st MIKONA Rally in the heart of Bratislava, marking our debut in motorsport.
We took on the role of organizer and promoter of the event and established the Automotoklub AMK MIKONA, which oversaw the entire execution. The rally attracted 52 teams from Slovakia and neighbouring countries, including the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary. The event was supported by an extensive advertising campaign on Slovak television and other media, and it was held under the patronage of the President of the Slovak Republic.

Establishing the Three Pillars of MIKONA for Future Challenges:
● STABILITY ● PROFIT ● PARTNERSHIP
Stability represents the robustness and core foundations of the company, which have proven resilient through multiple crises and extraordinary events.
Profit serves two essential purposes: reinvestment into further activities and acting as a reserve for extraordinary situations and events.
Partnership with key companies is not only crucial for survival but also for ensuring successful operations in the years to come.
